Bring your assessment experience. We’ll help you understand the requirements, choose the right strand and get your application ready.

Before you apply

  • Choose OCDEA, NDEA Level 3, NDEA Level 4, NDEA Level 5 or DEC, and confirm the territory in which you will work.
  • Provide the relevant recognised qualification or evidence for an accepted APEL route.
  • Prepare identity evidence, a recent photograph and details of any current or previous accreditation.
  • Check professional indemnity and public liability cover against the requirements for your strand.
  • Prepare your CPD record and any requested suitability or fit-and-proper evidence.

Please use the application portal for identity and qualification documents. For advice about eligibility, email applications@kaizencertification.co.uk.

Read the terms and costs first

You can review the membership agreement, Code of Conduct, appeals handbook, complaints procedure, CPD policy, insurance requirements, data-sharing information, fee schedule and service levels in the public application pack before submitting an application.

Our published fees also show the main application, annual and lodgement charges. Contact us for an alternative format or help understanding a document.

How the application works

  • Apply. Complete the portal application, choose your strands and supply the requested evidence.
  • Review. We check your competence, suitability, insurance and previous scheme information, and may request an interview or further evidence.
  • Decision. We explain the outcome. Unsuccessful applicants can use the independent appeals route.
  • Induction. Accepted applicants complete the membership agreement and receive guidance on registration, software, audits and CPD.

Your responsibilities as a member

Work only within your current accreditation and competence. Keep insurance in force, declare conflicts, follow the current conventions, retain assessment evidence securely and cooperate with quality assurance.

For the EASOB strands, the CPD baseline is 10 hours per membership year, with 5 additional hours for each extra strand. At least half should be certified CPD. Read the CPD guidance and Code of Conduct for more detail.
