ExploreWhat accreditation means
Accreditation confirms that an assessor has been accepted into a scheme for a defined area of work. It brings continuing obligations for competence, insurance, professional conduct and quality assurance. A qualification is an entry requirement; it does not, by itself, establish current accreditation.
Kaizen’s published 2025 report covers its OCDEA, NDEA and DEC operations in England and Wales. Requirements and approvals vary by nation. If your work is in Scotland or Northern Ireland, contact us to confirm the relevant strand and territorial approval before applying.
Quality assurance and consumer protection
Members must produce consistent assessments, retain evidence and cooperate with audits. Defective certificates may need to be corrected and replaced, and breaches can lead to corrective action, suspension or revocation.
Check an assessor’s current status before commissioning work. Our complaints procedure and appeals process are publicly available.
